Yorba Linda Homicide Suspect Identified
YORBA LINDA, Calif. – (February 5, 2014) – On Tuesday, February 4, 2014, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department began investigating the death of a deceased female found on the side of the roadway on Live Oak Lane in the city of Yorba Linda. During the course of the investigation, Sheriff’s Homicide investigators arrested Larry Soo Shin, 35, Yorba Linda, on suspicion of Murder.
On Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at approximately 5:40 a.m., a bicyclist called 911 to report discovery of an African-American female’s body lying on the side of the roadway. Following the response by Sheriff’s deputies, a homicide investigation was initiated resulting in the arrest of Shin. The unidentified victim died as a result of multiple stab wounds to the upper body as confirmed by autopsy earlier today. Based on preliminary information and evidence located at the scene, it appears the attack on the victim by Shin occurred at or near where the body was located.
Investigators are in the process of attempting to identity the victim and as a result, are yet to determine the relationship between Shin and the victim.
