Men and Women who like to play dice, eat gourmet food and raise funds for a local charity will want to attend the Women’s Club of Fullerton’s (WCOF) Bunco Boogie event Friday, May 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Meridian Club in Fullerton.
This fast-paced, fun event benefits the Women’s Transitional Living Center (WTLC), chosen as the WCOF Charity of the Year, and will include dozens of instant prizes, a silent auction, and an opportunity drawing with a gift card board worth over $400. Tickets for the event are a $30 donation, and include a Naples Island pasta bar, salad and dessert by Colette’s Catering.
“This year, our committee wanted to up our game,” said Bunco Boogie committee chair Kris Hanna, “Colette’s delicious food should attract more attendees than ever so we can raise lots of money for WTLC.”
According to Wikipedia, Bunco is a social dice game involving 100 percent luck and no skill (there are no decisions to be made), scoring and a simple set of rules, dating back to 18th century England and brought to San Francisco in the 1800′s. There exists a World Bunco Association.
