FULLERTON, Calif. – A man was sentenced Friday to five years in state prison for the human trafficking, pimping, and pandering of a 15-year-old girl from the Midwest. Phillip Anthony Gallegos, 21, Fullerton, pleaded guilty Friday, Jan 22, 2016, to one felony count each of human trafficking of a minor, pimping a minor, pandering with a minor under 16 years old by procurement, and using, inducing or furnishing a controlled substance to a minor. Gallegos was also sentenced to mandatory lifetime sex offender registration.
Co-defendant Marcellus Alphonso Carpenter, 23, Diamond Bar, pleaded guilty Nov. 17, 2015, to one felony count each of human trafficking of a minor and conspiracy to commit pimping. Carpenter was sentenced to eight years in state prison stayed pending the completion of one year in jail, five years formal probation, mandatory lifetime sex offender registration. Continue reading
