Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff (R-Diamond Bar) issued the following statement today following the passage of Assembly Bill 1266 in the Senate Education Committee.
“I don’t think Californians are really comfortable with the idea of elementary school kids sharing bathrooms and middle school students sharing locker rooms and showers based on their gender identity and not their sex,” said Senator Huff. “Most people realize that kids of the opposite sex sharing showers will not lead to anything positive. Let’s find a solution that protects the one percent without sacrificing the privacy of the 99 percent.”
