For Immediate Release, Case # 13NF3445: October 15, 2013
SANTA ANA – Law enforcement is seeking the public’s help identifying potential additional victims of an American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) volunteer charged with attempting to lure two boys to commit lewd acts. Faris Ousamah Nesheiwat, 19, La Mirada, is charged with three felony counts of contacting a child with the intent to commit lewd acts and one felony count of attempting to commit lewd acts upon a child under 14 years old. If convicted, Nesheiwat faces a maximum sentence of six years in state prison and mandatory lifetime sex offender registration. He is out of custody on $100,000 bail and is scheduled for arraignment, Nov. 6, 2013, at 8:30 a.m. in Department N-3, North Justice Center, Fullerton.
Nesheiwat was a volunteer at AYSO and worked in various roles for the organization.
Between April 12, 2013, and April 20, 2013, Nesheiwat is accused of contacting John Doe #1 with the intent of committing or attempting to commit lewd acts.
Between March 1, 2013, and June 30, 2013, Nesheiwat is accused of contacting John Doe #2 with the intent of committing lewd acts. On Oct. 8, 2013, Nesheiwat was arrested by the La Habra Police Department (LHPD), who investigated this case.
