Supervisor Shawn Nelson announced that he has won U.S. Representative Dana Rohrabacher’s endorsement after launching his bid to become the next Congressman of California’s 39th District.
Representative Rohrabacher stated, “I’m pleased to endorse Supervisor Nelson’s candidacy for U.S. Congress. I trust Nelson to bring a strong Conservative agenda to support every hard-working American.”
Rohrabacher continued, “Orange County Supervisor Shawn Nelson has my endorsement for his campaign to replace Ed Royce in Congress. I’ve watched Shawn Nelson for a number of years and found him to be highly principled, filled with energy and a true patriot. He won’t back down on important issues like illegal immigration, states’ rights and civil liberties. Furthermore, the voters have elected him and re-elected him to important leadership positions such as mayor of Fullerton and member of the OC Board of Supervisors. We can be confident that he has the support of the voters and he won’t back down from a fight once he is elected.”
Nelson responded to the endorsement saying, “It’s an honor to receive Congressman Rohrabacher’s support. I fully intend to build on this momentum in the next days as the Conservative leader you can trust to keep this seat red. I was raised in Orange County and grew up here in the 39th District. I would be honored to serve its people in Washington.”
