Chuck Jones’ grandson and president of the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity in Costa Mesa, Craig Kausen, will speak of his grandfather’s legacy as the animation director of such notable cartoon characters as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Elmer Fudd during a special appearance on Thursday, May 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center (MCC), located at 1201 W. Malvern Ave. in Fullerton.
Admission is $10 for MCC members, $20 for non-members, and $16 for students & senior citizens.
Get drawn in to this delightful discussion about the legendary animator who was also the creator of the Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote, Marvin the Martian, Pepé Le Pew, and Michigan J. Frog. Kausen will also discuss Jones’ influence on contemporary animators, directors, and artists as well as his impact on other disciplines.
After the presentation, produced in partnership with Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, and a short film tribute to Chuck’s life, there will be a question and answer session (remember to ask Craig how Chuck learned to draw the White Seal). You won’t want to miss this fascinating look at one of the architects of American pop culture!
