Prevent Fraud and Increase Personal Security
Holiday shopping season has just begun, and that means more credit card purchases than we care to admit. Using credit cards for holiday purchases can be great and save us time, but consumers need to make sure they are truly being safe and smart with their credit cards. Every so often, we hear the cringe worthy news story which claims that thousands of customer records were hacked from a popular shopping website, including consumer’s credit card and personal information. These are the stories that just deflate consumer confidence and make us reluctant to purchase items over the internet. Cyber shopping may be more convenient, especially for those of us who prefer to avoid those long holiday lines at the mall, but it certainly poses some risks that everybody should know about.
