Presiding over his first Fullerton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors’ meeting as Chair, Chris Reese announced plans for dynamic changes that will allow the Chamber to better serve its members as well as the larger North Orange County business community. One of the more immediate items in his strategic five-year plan was the unveiling of the Chamber’s 120th anniversary logo, which will help launch a year-long celebration of the Chamber’s rich history in the region.
In addition to approving a budget for 2014-15, Reese and the board addressed programmatic changes the Chamber is undergoing, including enhanced services for its members, the implementation of its recently launched tiered-membership program, and ways to serve the business community at large. The July 17 Board of Directors meeting was also an opportunity to introduce the board’s newest members. Helen Eligio, a retail branch manager for Farmers & Merchants Bank, began her career at the company 28 years ago as a teller. Since then, as a representative of the bank, she has served the Fullerton community. She is a longtime Fullerton Chamber supporter and this year she is increasing her involvement by serving on its 2014-15 Board of Directors.
