Investigators Seeking Public’s Assistance Identifying Theft Suspect
YORBA LINDA, Calif. – (August 26, 2014) – On Friday, August 22, 2014, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department began investigating a package theft from the porch of a residence in the 24600 block of Las Patranas, Yorba Linda. The theft occurred on Thursday, August 21 at approximately 11:00 a.m., while the resident was away from the home. The package contained a cellular phone valued at approximately $600.
Based on surveillance video, the suspect approached the front door and rang the doorbell. When nobody came to the door after several seconds, the suspect picked up a UPS package from the porch and is seen walking away down the driveway. There was no vehicle seen; however, investigators believe he got into a vehicle and left the area.
