Maria Angel Dejesus Rios, a 33-year-old homeless woman, was arrested on Saturday at 6:15 p.m., on suspicion of setting fires that destroyed five cars in a carport and damaged several others in Fullerton, according to the O.C. Register.
DeJesus was arrested at a homeless encampment in Buena Park, near the 5 and 91 freeways, according to the Fullerton police.
The carport fire happened on Friday afternoon at an Fullerton apartment complex located at 1321 S. Vine Ave. When firefighters arrived they found that a large part of a carport parking complex was fully engulfed in flames, Radus said
Police officers were checking areas she was known to frequent when they found her and arrested her without incident, according to ABC News.
Dejesus Rios charged with multiple counts of arson and an outstanding warrant and she was booked at the Fullerton City Jail.
