Pathways of Hope, Shea Homes and HomeAid Orange County are breaking ground on HomeAid’s 50th Development serving the homeless in Orange County, on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, from 11:30 am to 1 pm, at 506 W. Amerige, in Fullerton.
This project will add eight apartments to the New Vista Shelter, which will allow the homeless shelter to house up to 36 more people. The development has capacity currently for 12 families in four homes.
HomeAid’s purpose is to end homelessness through its mission to build and maintain dignified housing where homeless families and individuals can rebuild their lives.

HomeAid found design inspiration for the Pathways of Hope New Vista Shelter in the historic Dewella Apartments in Fullerton built in 1929. Can you see the similarities?
Orange County is one of the wealthiest counties in the United States with over 3 million in residence, yet 18,000 experience homelessness each year. With the specific objective of ending homelessness, HomeAid Orange County’s three unique focus areas of advocacy, development and service allow the community to engage in this critical issue that affects thousands in the community.
