On September 24, civic-minded people and organizations across the United States will take part in National Voter Registration Day. California Secretary of State Debra Bowen is inviting you to join in this nonpartisan effort to highlight the importance of taking part in our democracy by encouraging your organization’s members to register to vote.
It’s easier than ever to apply to vote in California with the Secretary of State’s online application at RegisterToVote.ca.gov. Since the online system was launched in September of 2012, more than 887,000 Californian’s have used it to register to vote or to update their voter registration record.
You can help turn California into a model of voter participation by sharing this online voter registration link in emails, newsletters, websites, and social media between now and National Voter Registration Day.
To highlight your message or posting, add the “No paper? No printer?” flyer, or distribute it at your next meeting or event. With your involvement, many more eligible Californians will be ready to vote by the next election.
