Fullerton City Hall will be closed Monday, May 26, for the Memorial Day holiday. It will reopen at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27.
The Fullerton Main Library, 353 W. Commonwealth Ave., will also be closed Sunday, May 25 and Monday, May 26. The main library’s normal operating hours are 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays; and 1-5 p.m. on Sundays.
The administrative offices at Fullerton Municipal Airport will be closed May 26; however, airport operations will proceed as usual, and the air traffic control tower will be open that day.
MG Disposal, the city’s trash contractor, will observe the holiday, and trash collections will not be made May 26. Pickups will run one day late: Monday’s collection will be made Tuesday; Tuesday on Wednesday; Wednesday on Thursday; Thursday on Friday; and Friday on Saturday.
Special Memorial Day ceremonies are planned for May 26 at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton. The City of Fullerton and the American Veterans Memorial Association will present the 76th Annual Fullerton Memorial Day Observance with special guest speaker COL Valery Keaveny, Jr, Commander of the 101st Airborne “Currahees” (East Company) made famous in the “Band of Brothers” mini-series.
