MAN CONVICTED AND SENTENCED FOR ATTEMPTING TO ENGAGE IN COMMERCIAL SEX WITH WOMAN

WESTMINSTER – A man was convicted and sentenced yesterday for attempting to engage in commercial sex with a woman. Brett Foster Stelcik, 46, Fullerton, pleaded guilty yesterday, Aug. 8, 2013, to one misdemeanor count of loitering with the intent to commit prostitution. Stelcik was sentenced to three years of informal probation, 15 days in jail with the possibility of CalTrans in lieu of jail, and must submit to AIDS testing and education. Continue reading→

Home invasion in Yorba Linda, two suspects in custody

This morning at approximately 6:30 a.m., deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the 6000 block of Calle Entrada in Yorba Linda regarding a home invasion robbery, according to an OCSD press release, which also reported that:

A suspicious occupied vehicle was located in the area and deputies later determined it was related to the incident. A female driver, identified as Ariyana Hearod, 21, of Los Angeles, was contacted and later arrested. A male suspect, later identified as Ronald Phillips, 21, of Riverside, fled the scene on foot. Special Saturday Hours Planned for June 22

Plan now to take advantage of special Saturday hours available at the Orange County Clerk-Recorder Department on Saturday June 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Old County Courthouse in Santa Ana and the department’s branch offices in Laguna Hills and Fullerton.

The Old County Courthouse will be offering marriage license, civil wedding ceremonies and passport application services only. Copies of property records and birth, death and marriage certificates will be available at the Laguna Hills and Fullerton branch offices, as well as obtaining marriage licenses and having civil wedding ceremonies performed.
