On February 7th, 2017, the Fullerton City Council repealed Fullerton’s Municipal Code section which set forth certain sex offender residency restrictions within the City of Fullerton due to pending litigation that found the Municipal Code section to be unconstitutional.
That said, California Penal Code Section 3003.5, which sets forth residency restrictions and prohibits sex offenders from residing within 2,000 feet of any public or private school, or park where children regularly gather, remains steadfastly in place. Continue reading
