Orange County Proclaims Local Emergency in Response to La Habra Earthquake
SILVERADO CANYON, Calif. – (April 4, 2014) – Today, the Vice Chair of the Orange County Board of Supervisors proclaimed a local emergency following the March 28th La Habra earthquake and seeks the assistance of Governor Brown to proclaim a State of Emergency. The Board of Supervisors is scheduled to ratify the proclamation on Tuesday, April 8.
The Governor’s State of Emergency and subsequent request for a Presidential Declaration of Emergency may enable funding to become available to the County of Orange, as well as all eligible community members and businesses. Continue reading
