On January 14 at 7 p.m. the ninth annual Shared Visions International Art Exhibit, one of only four such art exhibitions of its kind in the United States, will launch its year-long exhibit with a private reception at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at the University Eye Center at Fullerton. The juried art exhibit includes 94 works of art by 34 blind, legally blind and visually impaired artists living throughout the United States, Canada and Sweden. The free exhibit is open to the public through mid-August 2014.
Approximately 250 guests are expected to attend the opening reception to preview this year’s entries and to meet the artists. Many artists are assisted by guide dogs and use special low-vision technology to create their works of art. Art mediums represented in the exhibit include photography, sculptures, oils, watercolors, mosaics, multi-media and more. For more information, please call 714.992.7865.
