The Republican Club of Northern Orange County will be meeting next on Feb. 18, at 6 p.m. at the Sizzler restaurant located at 1401 North Harbor Boulevard, in Fullerton.
Their speaker will be Orange County Republican Central committee chairman Fred Whitaker.

Fred Whitaker is a husband, father, businessman and community volunteer. His desire to serve the Party springs from a deep devotion to Orange County and his commitment to keeping our community a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family.
Fred is a resident of Orange, and has been actively involved in Orange civic life as both a businessman and community leader. Fred is an experienced businessman with deep roots in the economic life of our county. For nearly a decade, he was a senior executive at SC Fuels, a major Orange-based business.
Since he was a young man, Fred’s belief in individual liberty, limited government and a free market, inspired him to devote time and talent to Republican Party causes. He served as Second Vice Chairman of the Republican Party of Orange County from 1995-1998, and again from 2005-2007, and then as First Vice Chairman from 2007–2011.
Fred has been elected seven times by the residents of Orange to the Republican Central Committee from the 60th and 68th Assembly Districts. He is the Managing Partner at the law firm Cummins & White, LLP, a Newport Beach based firm where he specializes in corporate counsel, business transactions, real estate and estate planning.
In 2010, Fred was elected to the Orange City Council as the top vote recipient out of eight candidates. In 2014, Fred was reelected to a four year term, and has served as Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Orange.
Fred has been married to his wife, Mignon since 1989. They met at the California Republican Party Convention in Anaheim in 1987, when Mignon was working on legislative staff and Fred was running for College Republican State Chair. They have three children; Jayne, Anne, and Jack.
