FULLERTON: The July 4th tradition continues in the City of Fullerton as they prepare for its annual Independence Day celebration with its 24th Annual Community Fireworks Show and Festival. The festival will be held from 5:00 – 9:30 p.m. at the Fullerton High School Stadium, which is located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Berkeley Avenue and Lemon Street. No alcohol, animals, personal fireworks, glass, canopies or umbrellas will be allowed in the stadium. Admission is free. Entertainment for the night will be provided by “The Jann Browne Band.” Browne, a country music artist, has twice been named “Entertainer of the Year.” Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. and last for approximately 20 minutes. There will be live music by Soundbytes and additional entertainment.
ANAHEIM: Disneyland, 1313 S. Harbor Blvd., will host “Celebrate America! A 4th of July Concert in the Sky,” which will take place four nights, July 1- July 4, at 9:25 p.m.
ANAHEIM: Angel Stadium. The Angels will play the Houston Astros at 6:05 p.m. with a firework display after the game.
ANAHEIM: Canyon High School, 220 S. Imperial Hwy. “An American Celebration” will be held on Friday, July 4, in Anaheim Hills. They will start the day with the “Firecracker Run 5K/ 10K at 7 a.m. at the Canyon High School track. This will be followed by a Pancake Breakfast from 8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. with the Yankee Doodle Dog Show at 10:00 a.m. at the high school. A parade will start at 5:00 p.m. at Canyon High going down Santa Ana Canyon Road ending at Pinney. At the park, food booths will be in operation from 3:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. with entertainment from 6:00 p.m. – 8:50 p.m. A firework display will start at 9:00 p.m.
LA HABRA: La Habra High School Stadium, 801 W. Highlander Avenue, will be the location for the city’s annual 4th of July Celebration with a wide variety of food available for purchase from food trucks and both commercial food vendors and local non-profits. In addition to the fireworks, there will be music by Soto on the main stage and performances by local bands on the second stage. The Kid Zone will return with its free inflatable’s, games and activities. Purchase pre-sale wristbands at the La Habra Community Center, 101 W. La Habra Blvd., Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Thursday, July 3rd. Pre-sale admission prices are $5 for adults (age 13 years and over) and $3 for children (age three-12 years).Children under three years of age are admitted at no charge. Wristbands may also be purchased at the gate on the day of the event; prices are $7 for adults (13 years and older) and $4 for children (three-12 years). Admission includes entrance, children’s games and activities, live musical performance by Soto and seating for the fireworks show.
YORBA LINDA: Veterans’ Park (Yorba Linda Middle School), 4756 Valley View. Entertainment begins at 5 p.m. on July 4th with food and music. Bring your lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the fireworks display at 9 p.m. Bringing dogs is not recommended. For more information call (714) 961-7160.
BUENA PARK: Knott’s Berry Farm, 8039 Beach Blvd. Knott’s will have a firework display on the 4th.
CITY OF ORANGE: Fred Kelly Stadium at El Modena High School, 3920 Spring Street, will be the site of the 19th Annual 3rd of July celebration which will be held on Thursday, July 3, at 4:00 p.m. The celebration includes live music, interactive games, entertainment, delicious food from local non-profit groups, a patriotic musical performance by the Orange County Master Chorale that leads up to a spectacular fireworks show. SANTA ANA: Family style fun and a spectacular fireworks show at the City of Santa Ana’s 2014 Independence Day Celebration at Centennial Park from 4-9:30pm. The Independence Day celebration will feature live performances by the Rockabillys, Mango Band and Santa Ana High School. The celebration will feature a History Walk with costumed characters from our nation’s history educating children, a kid’s zone play area with three bounce houses and games, civil war cannons and recognition of our Armed Forces. The fireworks show will begin at 9pm. Bring a picnic basket or enjoy the various food vendors throughout the park. Admission is free and guests are encouraged to arrive early to find a spot in the park.
IRVINE: Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, 8808 Irvine Center Drive, will present the Pacific Symphony performing patriotic favorites and will salute the U.S. Armed Forces. Big band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will join the Pacific Symphony playing the high-energy swing rhythms from the 40’s and 50’s. IRVINE: Woodbridge Village Association will have 4th of July activities and a private firework show.
TUSTIN: Tustin High School Football Stadium, 1171 El Camino Real. The City of Tustin will hold a 4th of July celebration. The event is free and starts at 6:30 p.m. with music by the band Swing Cats and Swing Kittens. Tustin High School Boosters will be providing food. Parking is very limited and entrance is on San Juan.
