Hosted by the Municipal Water District of Orange County, Orange County Water District, and Disneyland, the Seventh Annual Orange County Water Summit is set for May 16, 2014 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Grand Californian Hotel at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. Leading water experts and policy makers will discuss their plans to secure California’s water future.
Speakers and moderators will include Congressman John Garamendi (D-3), San Francisco Estuary Institute Senior Scientist Robin Grossinger, and California Department of Food and Agriculture Under-Secretary Sandra Schubert, to name a few.
Individual tickets are $120. Ticket price will increase to $140 beginning May 6. Ticket includes continental breakfast, lunch, self-parking and summit materials.
California’s $1.9 trillion economy is at risk. The state is in the midst of one of the driest periods on record and in addition, pumping restrictions are still in place – limiting the amount of water we can move throughout the state to keep our economy growing. Business, agriculture, urban populations and the environment are all dependent on reliable water supplies.
