This month marks the 21st “birthday” for one of Fullerton’s favorite small businesses, Roadkill Ranch & Boutique. To celebrate the coming-of-age milestone, the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 9 at 4 p.m. at Roadkill, located at 119 E. Commonwealth Ave. in Fullerton.
A 21-year birthday party will immediately follow from 4:30 to 7 p.m., complete with champagne toasts for those 21 and over, and sweets and treats. There are rumors spinning about a DJ, too.
The boutique will offer a 21% discount on all purchases that night and a free gift with every purchase (while supplies last).
The store first opened their doors in 1993 in Orange, selling mostly vintage clothing and handmade leather jewelry. Since then, the boutique has evolved into a lifestyle mecca for indie artists with a bohemian flair as well as rockabilly and pin-up clients. Styles include vintage-inspired dresses, Pendleton shirts, and Jeffrey Campbell shoes. Since Roadkill was one of the very first boutiques to ever carry the brand Jeffrey Campbell, the shoe company has pulled one of their best retro-inspired pumps from their line and given it to Roadkill Ranch & Boutique as an exclusive.
