SPONSOR/SUPPORT AB 2688 (Brown; D-San Bernardino) Good Faith Reliance — Creates certainty for employers that they can rely upon and follow the advice received from the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement regarding how to comply with labor and employment law. Assembly Judiciary Committee hearing April 29.
SUPPORT SB 1451 (Hill; D-San Mateo) Substantially Reduces Cost and Delay in the CEQA Process — Significantly limits use of the “document dumping” tactic in CEQA cases, wherein project opponents seek to intentionally delay project approvals by submitting lengthy, detailed comment letters and extensive documentation on the day of the public hearing. Senate Environmental Quality Committee hearing April 30.
