Fullerton’s famous blind pig, “The Golden Scarab Club,” formerly owned and operated by the late notorious mob boss “Fingers” Velasco, opens its doors again under new management on Thursday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center located at 1201 W. Malvern Ave. in Fullerton.
Taste fine “coffee” with the usual gangsters and molls, flappers, and bootleggers. Grab a partner and Charleston the night away with the live band, Brad Kay and Those Syncopating Songbirds. Try your luck at “games of chance.” The secret password phrase to get in is “Orange Juice,” but keep it under your hat. Everybody will be there, even the “police.” But not to worry, they can join in the fun and grab a cup when they arrive!
Wear your 1920s best!
