Each year, the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce solicits nominations from its membership for companies and individuals to be recognized for outstanding accomplishments in the areas of business and community involvement.
Business Achievement Awards co-chairs, Fullerton Chamber of Commerce President Theresa Harvey and past Chamber President and lifetime ambassador Shirley Thiele, announced the committee’s selections for the 2014 Business Achievement Awards at the Chamber’s Sunset Mixer held at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center on April 9.
This year’s Fullerton Chamber President’s Business Achievement Awards will be during a kick-off celebration for the Chamber’s 120th anniversary at the Business Achievement Awards Dinner on Wednesday, June 18 at the Summit House restaurant in Fullerton.
The recipients of the Chamber’s 2014 awards are Richey Advisors, Small Business of the Year; Colette’s Catering, Medium Business of the Year; Popular Community Bank, Large Business of the Year; YWCA of North Orange County, Quality of Life Award; and Fullerton’s own Police Officer John DeCaprio, with the Hawkins Business Leadership Award.
Businesses are recognized for a number of key criteria, among them are the company’s involvement in the community, service above self, outreach, ethical business practices, length of service in the Fullerton community, innovation, leadership, environmental awareness, and ability to promote wellness and …read more
