Former Assemblyman Chris Norby sent an email message to his supporters today regarding his arrest on allegations of domestic violence.
Here is Norby’s message:
Dear Friends & Family:
Thank you for the calls and messages of support I’ve received from so many of you yesterday. You know the truth of what I have sacrificed for my family. These groundless claims were made without evidence or witnesses, which—when brought forward—will show the exact opposite.
Most difficult is not being able to be home with my children, even if temporarily. Taking Johnny for a walk with the dogs, fixing Ana’s favorite sandwich (BLT on a croissant), taking Iris to water polo or helping Gary with schoolwork—these are my greatest daily joys. For now, I am staying in Downtown Fullerton, and would love a chat or a visit. My cell: 714-813-5899
I’ve been out of public office for over a year now, though my private life may still be newsworthy to some. Though I have been used, abused and falsely accused, I still have hope for the future and for the years of helping my children grow up (Alex just started a promising position in the GPS mapping field).
As I write this, the sun is rising, washing away the night. So, too, will truth wash away the darkness. This is another day that the Lord has made—let us rejoice and be glad in it!
