FULLERTON – On February 6, 2014, with the warm welcome of Principal Coombs, Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva (D-Fullerton) encouraged local students and parents at Buena Park High School to apply for financial aid either through the Cal Grant or the new Middle Class Scholarship program. Over a hundred families gathered in the room to learn more about the Financial Aid and Cal Grant programs available to them.
“With the March 2nd deadline quickly approaching, it is crucial that these students and parents receive the assistance they need in order to fill out the applications correctly and submitted on time. Every year we see so much financial assistance left on the table and we want to make sure that our constituents receive the resources to help guide them to a better future. As a teacher for 27 years, I am a firm believer that if we invest our time and efforts in our students, the State of California will have a brighter future,” said Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva.
