The Orange County Board of Supervisors is seeking candidates to serve on the Children and Families Commission of Orange County. The Children and Families Commission of Orange County oversees the allocation of funds from Proposition 10, which added a 50 cent tax on tobacco products sold in California. The candidates are needed for the three seats on the Children and Families Commission, one in the Education category and two in the Health category. The recruitment is open to new applicants and current members for three seats that will be available as soon as April 1, 2014. Applications are due to the Children and Families Commission office by 3:00 p.m. on February 21. Eligible applications will be submitted to the Board of Supervisors for nominations and appointments.
