How City Planners hope to remake the City of Fullerton in their image – and on your dime
By Sean Paden | First of all, congratulations are in order to Davis Barber and his newly launched Fullerton Stories magazine, which provides the first new publication in the City in some time.
Based on the history of Barber’s Fullerton Stories website, which tends to have a strong slant towards “community interest” stories rather than articles that cover controversial topics, it is a bit of a surprise that the inaugural issue of his magazine features a fairly in-depth article extolling the virtues of city planners and the importance of the City Council listening to them rather than to their own constituents. The article is by Elizabeth Hansburg, who is described as a resident of Fullerton since 2006, the holder of a Masters Degree in City Planning and a member of the Downtown Core and Corridor Specific Plan Committee as well as the College Connector Feasibility Study (much more on that one later).
