Strike a Better Work-Life Balance: Tips to Reclaim Control
The holidays are a time for family, festivities and fun, and work can be the last place anyone wants to be. Despite that the distractions of the season, we still have jobs to do. Work-life balance now ranks as one of the most important workplace attributes, second only to compensation, according to research conducted by the Corporate Executive Board on a pool of 50,000 global workers. Companies are beginning to realize just how large of an impact work-life balance has on their employees, and are choosing to offer more of these benefits to provide a supportive, healthy work environment. Over-worked employees can have cost implications on a business by affecting absenteeism, productivity, and punctuality. Employees are responding by seeking out employers that offer better work-life benefits such as flex-time or on-site healthcare services. Companies who address this important issue often achieve high levels of employee satisfaction and retention.
