On October 1, 2013, more than 2.6 million Californians became eligible to enroll in health care plans through California’s new health insurance marketplace, Covered California. Up to 1.4 million more people will be eligible to enroll in the newly-expanded Medi-Cal program.
“It is imperative that we work together to educate the public on how to navigate this complex system and get our community covered come January of 2014. It was great to see that participants appreciated getting all their individual questions answered.” said Assemblywoman Quirk-Silva.
