From the richest satins to the humblest calicoes, quilts are truly an American craft. Orange County quilt maker, teacher, and author Lyn Brown will present a trunk show and discussion of Victorian and early American era quilts, their origins, and how those quilts impacted today’s quilt makers.
In addition, Brown invites you to play, “Stump the Quilter,” by bringing in your vintage, antique, and heirloom quilts for her to identify the pattern and place the historical context. Everyone who brings in a quilt to share with Lyn will receive an authentic Victorian artifact as a thank you. All participants will receive a free Lyn Brown original, Victorian inspired, quilt pattern.
$20 per person and $18 for Arboretum members
