Legislative Session Was Not Without Some Nutty Bills
(An editorial from OC Business Council)
With the 2013 legislative season winding down, OCBC had a few successes supporting meaningful laws geared towards advancing business, creating jobs and promoting economic development throughout the state. Notably, SB 751 (Yee), OCBC’s first sponsored bill, passed, allowing for greater public transparency from many regulatory agencies. But there was still some squirrely behavior as it’s safe to say a few bills were better classified as “distractions” to the main event of creating high-paying jobs for California’s recovering economy.
