Fullerton, CA- Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva (D- Fullerton) today presented a $5,000 educational grant to St. Polycarp Catholic School in Stanton on behalf of the Barona Band of Mission Indians. Earlier this year Assemblywoman Quirk-Silva nominated St. Polycarp School for the grant, which will be used to update the school’s technology equipment.
“With these new funds St. Polycarp students will have access to laptops and software packs that will help them build the 21st century skill sets that are so crucial in today’s workforce.” said Assemblywoman Quirk-Silva. “One of California’s greatest resources are our students, we need to make sure they are receiving the tools they need to succeed in the future.”
