Chamber members are invited to a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in honor of the Orange County Conservation Corps, to celebrate the official launch of the Orange County Conservation Corps Charter School. The event will take place on Friday, September 27, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. A brief program will begin at 1:45 p.m. The Orange County Conservation Corps Charter School is located at 1548 E. Walnut Ave., in Fullerton.
While over 500 young adults have graduated with a high school diploma from OCCC educational programs, this past year celebrated the first graduating class of the Orange County Conservation Corps Charter School.
The Orange County Conservation Corps was founded in 1993 as part of the Anaheim anti-gang task force. The OCCC is a voluntary work and learn program that provides an opportunity for at-risk and disadvantaged youths, age 18 to 25. Our program grants Corpsmembers with an opportunity to earn a living while learning valuable employment skills through job training and attending our on-site charter school to earn their high school diploma.
