The Fullerton Public Library is sponsoring a series of free monthly presentations to improve the medical literacy of the community. These monthly discussions will be led by predominantly St. Jude affiliated physicians in a collaboration between St. Jude Golden Heart, a volunteer organization at St. Jude Medical Center, and Osher Life Long Learning Institute (OLLI) , an educational organization of retirees and semi-retirees from Cal State Fullerton and the Fullerton Elks Club. The series kicks off on Thursday, October 3 with “The Physician’s Guide to Natural Medicine.”
These hour-long free presentations starting at 8:30 a.m. will be led by John Zamarra M.D., a local cardiologist and natural medicine specialist and held in the Community Room of the Fullerton Library. The Fullerton Public Library is located at 353 W. Commonwealth Avenue, adjacent to City Hall.
Fullerton Library Director, Maureen Geblein explained, “We are constantly looking for ways to promote our local talents and experts. Over the past months, local artists and educators have come to the Library to share, encourage and inspire the citizens of Fullerton.“
