(Sacramento) – A bill by Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva (D-Fullerton) seeking to ensure that patients suffering from cancer and other diseases have access to fertility treatments by including them in California medical insurance plans, has passed the state Assembly on a 48 to 23 vote.
Assembly Bill 912 would help provide a fair chance at parenthood for those who had to pay the price of infertility in exchange for life saving treatments.
